Job Description
SAUDI ARABIAN OUTREACH COORDINATOR, Mechanical Engineering, to be responsible for the planning and implementation of a center whose objective is bringing Saudi Arabian women to MIT for research and educational activities. Will maintain and strengthen relationships with universities in Saudi Arabia and with other Saudi Arabian contacts, act as the primary point of contact for Saudi Arabian women engineers and scientists interested in participating in the center, coordinate housing and visas for visitors, maintain knowledge of research and educational programs within the center, plan and implement summer programs, work closely with center staff and other operational units of the department, work to bridge cultural differences and provide cultural awareness, provide content for written and oral presentations, and be responsible for ongoing review and improvement of the outreach process.

REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree in a related field; familiarity with the culture and customs of Saudi Arabia; fluency in Arabic language; strong written and oral communication skills in both Arabic and English; excellent interpersonal and organization skills for interacting with a diverse group of students, staff, and faculty from both MIT and Saudi Arabia; proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; and project management experience. Seek resourceful, detail-oriented individual who is able to operate both independently and as part of a team.
